The two wizard tricks
Before you play, learn the two tricks every forecaster uses:
Add the last 3 days and divide by 3. If yesterday was 30°, before that 29°, before that 28°, the average is (30 + 29 + 28) ÷ 3 = 29°. Tomorrow is probably NEAR that number.
Are the towers climbing like stairs, or sinking? If every day is about 1° hotter than the last, add 1° to yesterday. If they are sinking, take a little away.
Mix both tricks! Start from the average. Then push it up or down with the trend. That recipe beats wild guessing every single time.
🎮 The game
How to play (3 easy steps)
- Read the towers. The 7 towers are the past week. Every tower wears its day and its temperature, and hotter towers are taller and redder.
- Grow your guess. The glowing BLUE tower marked YOU is your guess for tomorrow. Slide the slider (or tap − and +) and watch it grow and shrink. Make it fit the pattern!
- Lock it in! A GREEN tower marked REAL rises out of the ground right beside yours. Same height as your blue tower? PERFECT prediction!
Points each day: spot on = 15, half a degree off = 12, one degree = 9, two degrees = 6, further = 2. Seven days, 105 points max.
Stuck? Add the last 3 numbers and divide by 3. Then look at the towers. Climbing? Add a little. Sinking? Take a little off. Boom: you just built a tiny weather model in your head! 🧠
The last three days were 30°, 31°, and 32°. Which is the smartest guess for tomorrow?
