This is build week. Your team designs and ships a real AI app in a single live sprint, plans it first on the AI App Canvas, then pitches it to a council of judges. Everything you need is here: the app brief and the canvas, a quick icebreaker game, and the full Pitch and Win results once the judging is done.
Three activities, run in order on the day. Jump to any of them below.
Weeks 1 to 3 taught you what AI is, the five models every builder knows, and how to predict with data. Week 4 turns that into a product. Your team gets one clear brief, a planning canvas, and a short sprint to build a working prototype, then you stand up and pitch it. The judging rewards usefulness, reasoning, and safety, not just a pretty screen.
Pick the AI focus area you most want to dig into on Friday. One vote per person, and you can change it any time. Do not see your thing? Add it under "Something else".
Each activity below is a full page. Open the App Challenge first to plan and build, use Spycraft to warm the room up, and come back to the Pitch and Win results after judging.
Build Melissa Relief Connector, a mobile app that connects people who need help after a hurricane with people who can offer it. Plan it on the AI App Canvas, then build and demo. Your canvas saves so you can reopen it on any device.
A one-tap party game to warm up the room. Everyone taps once to get a secret role. Spies see a red screen, everyone else sees green. Five spies are chosen by tap order, and the organizer can see who they are.
The judged results of the teen pitch competition: the winner reveal, the full leaderboard, the ten-judge scorecard, and specific written feedback for every team. Read who won, who came close, and exactly why.
Build Melissa Relief Connector, a phone-friendly tool that helps people request help and helps volunteers offer it after a hurricane.
Plan first on the AI App Canvas: the user, the problem, the data, the AI task, the rules, the risks, and how you know it works.
Design for safety: warn users that life-threatening emergencies go to official services, and keep a human in the loop on every match.
Demo in about two minutes: the user and problem, one working journey, the AI logic, one risk with its safeguard.
A council of ten judges scores every pitch out of 100, each through their own professional lens: the AI expert, the business owner, the finance expert, the social warrior, the venture capitalist, the product designer, the privacy lead, the growth marketer, the legal counsel, and the customer advocate. The brief is blunt: make as much money as possible, and be profitable, while staying useful and safe. Build the sharpest idea you can, because the whole council is watching.
