AI means Artificial Intelligence. Big words! Here is the easy way to say it: AI is a computer that learns, just like you. You learned what a mango looks like by seeing lots of mangoes. AI learns the same way, by looking at lots and lots of examples.
This is Robby. Robby does not know what a mango is yet! The mangoes grow on the tree, and you get to feed them to Robby's brain.
Now YOU teach the computer, just like you taught Robby. This is called training.
The one idea this week: AI is software that learns from examples instead of being given step-by-step rules. When your child taps the mangoes above, they are doing what real AI engineers call "labelling training data."
1. The Flood Game (with a grown-up). ๐ Play the Flood Prediction game below. You get to build an AI that warns people before a flood comes, like a superhero weather helper for Jamaica! Ask a grown-up to sit with you.

3. Draw your robot (Thursday). ๐๏ธ Draw a robot helper for your community. What problem does it fix? Bring your drawing to Friday's session.
